WinCounter in an industrial environment

Many of the standard uses for WinCounter can be put to use in an industrial environment. Because WinCounter utilizes existing computer systems they should already be suitably robust for your environment. All you need to ensure is that the sensor or switch you use for WinCounter is rugged enough for the environment too. 

You can use it...

• to monitor your doorways for people coming or going.
• as a doorbell to get attention when someone enters.
• to count staff entering or leaving the building
• to keep track of the total number of people in the building at one time. You can achieve this by having separate entry and exit doors and configuring one sensor to count up and another to count down. Or have two buttons by the door and staff press one when they enter and the other when they leave.

You can also use it to measure unit production or items coming or going from your factory. If a sensor or switch can measure it, WinCounter can count it. If you are just wanting to achieve a simple count of an item and you have an existing Microsoft^® Windows computer system, this can be a cost-effective alternative to a high priced industrial measurement system.

Production Module

WinCounter has a special add-on module designed to monitor productivity. The module allows you to enter employee data and shift information. You can keep track of each employee's productivity and produce reports that compare employees and shifts.

To measure production output you can install sensors or manual switches that can be pressed each time a unit is completed.
