How WinCounter works

WinCounter connects a sensor or switch to the serial port of your computer. Because WinCounter is just measuring "triggers" it only requires a low cost adaptor plug to connect a wide range of sensors or switches to your computer. Once the appropriate sensor or switch is connected, WinCounter runs in the background on your computer waiting for a trigger on the sensor or switch. When  it gets a trigger, it logs the time and date in a database and goes back to waiting for the next one.

You can view basic WinCounter data directly from the main WinCounter screen which can be accessed by clicking on the WinCounter system tray icon.

WinCounter also comes with a module called WinCounter Reports that produces reports and graphs to help you analyze your data. There are many options built into the reporting software that allow you to get the report you want. Once the report is generated, you can view it on the screen, print it,  save it to disk, or email it to someone.
